Evolution on the acute respiratory infections in association with mixed herpes infections in early age
Studying of cellular and humoral immune status. Material and methods: The study group included 100 children with severe acute respiratory infections; The diagnosis of herpes infection was confirmed by PCR method and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay; Humoral immunity was assessed by Mancini method;
Cell-mediated immunity was studied using specific monoclonal antibodies; Statistical interpretation of epidemiological and interview data. Results. The anamnestic data allows to highlight the following aspects: 92% of mothers had recurrent skin herpes infections; 18% had CMV infections;
In 16% of cases, fathers had a herpes infection; All the examined children had high titers of antibodies to CMV; 88,8% of children had high titers of antibodies to HSV tipe 1,2; 75,9% of all children had IgA deficiency, 27,7% had IgG deficiency; 83,8% of the examined children had failure of citoto-toxic lymphocytes (CD8 decreased); 22% of examined children had decreased activity of macrophages (B-lymphocytes, CD4 decrease). Conclusion.
