Evolution on the acute respiratory infections in association with mixed herpes infections in early age
Objectives: Assessment of IgG, IgM anti CMV, HSV type 1,2, in serum; Studying of cellular and humoral immune status.
Material and methods: The study group included 100 children with severe acute respiratory infections; The diagnosis of herpes infection was confirmed by PCR method and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay; Humoral immunity was assessed by Mancini method; Cell-mediated immunity was studied using specific monoclonal antibodies; Statistical interpretation of epidemiological and interview data.
